Crimean authorities gave a permission to conduct mourning rally on May 18, dedicated to 70th anniversary of deportation of 1944, press service of Crimean Parliament reports.
“Mourning rally dedicated to anniversary of Crimean deportation of 1944 will be held at Simferopol Lenin square May 18”- reads the statement.
On May 16 Crimeans will lay flowers to deportation memorials.
Requiem-action “Light a fire in your heart” will take place May 17, at Simferopol Lenin square.
Traditional annual climb to Chatyr Dag Mountain, commemorating the victims of deportation of 1944, took place on May 10. It gathered more than 2 thousand people.
