The Crimean Tatar flag was removed from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada. According to the requirements of the leader and Coordinator of the Crimean Civil Blockade Lenur Islyamov the flag had to hang in there until the peninsula is returned under Ukraine’s control.
- I even demand that the Crimean Tatar flag hang on the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada until Crimea is returned in order to remind all of us and the MPs as well that Crimea is a Crimean Tatar autonomy, which must be returned since there is no Ukraine without Crimea, Islyamov said yesterday, June 15, at the Parliamentary hearings on the Strategy of Crimea’s Reintegration held in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
However, according to a QHA correspondent a today’s Parliament session has started without the Crimean Tatar flag hanging on the rostrum. Instead of it there is a placard, "We demand to investigate the offshore corruption of the authorities."
June 15, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine held Parliamentary hearings on the Strategy for Reintegrating the Temporarily Occupied Territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and City of Sevastopol.
The hearings are attended by government officials, parliamentarians, human rights activists and representatives of public organizations.
