Simferopol (QHA) - Crimean Parliament continues informational battle with EuroMaidan. Parliament’s press service spread information that the Parliament’s hotline called ‘Crimeans, let’s defend our Autonomy!’ received more than 170 calls from various regions of Crimea. Thus, according to the press service, Crimeans “express extreme concern with events taking place in Kyiv, demand to bring to justice organizers of EuroMaidan, express support to the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and insist on Ukraine’s accession to the Customs Union”. As reported earlier, following mass protests in support of European integration of Ukraine, the Presidium of the Crimean Parliament also released a video address to Crimean citizens, in which it openly opposed pro-Euro protests and called on Crimeans to “defend the Autonomy”. Deputy of Crimean Parliament and head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov criticized the Parliament’s video address stating that the Crimean Parliament practically ceased to exist as a representative body elected by all residents of Crimea.
