Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of Crimea appealed to Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, urging him to take extraordinary measures to preserve the constitutional order and unity in Ukraine, according to official website of Crimean Parliament.
“Peaceful Crimea is extremely disturbed by another outbreak of violence in the center of Kiev. Massacres in Kyiv show that the opposition accepted the numerous concessions from the government as a sign of weakness, and used amnesty law as a break before trying to take power by force in the country”- reads the letter.
“Militants from "Svoboda", "Praviy Sector" and other extremist organizations declared a general mobilization and urged people with firearms go to the barricades. This is no longer a peaceful protest. This is the beginning of the Civil War, about which the Crimean parliament warned repeatedly” – states the appeal.
“Today we require from you as the head of state decisive action and emergency measures. Hundreds of thousands of Crimean residents are waiting for that, all those people who voted for you in the presidential election for the hope of stability in the country”- reads the statement.
