The Crimean parliament has approved on Wednesday four official holidays in Crimea, which are: the Day of Unification with Russia (March 16), the Day of State Flag (January 19), the Day of Crimea (January 20) and the Day of Constitution of Crimea (April 11).
Crimea seceded from Ukraine and was annexed by Russia in March, following a local referendum on the region’s status,
Kyiv authorities, as well as the international community declared the referendum and Crimea’s unification with Russia illegitimate and imposed numerous sanctions against Russian and Crimean officials and companies.
From 20 December, investment in Crimea or Sevastopol is outlawed. Europeans and EU-based companies may no more buy real estate or entities in Crimea, finance Crimean companies or supply related services.
