On Monday, May 30, the international youth forum "Future of Crimea" has been launched in Kyiv, reported a QHA correspondent.

The Forum was attended by the Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov who wished the participants to develop a strategy for making decisions on the future of Russia annexed Crimea in the course of the discussions.

- I am sure that over two days of your work you will succeed in discussions on the future cooperation. I wish you a fruitful cooperation in order to make further decisions on the Crimean future, said Chubarov.

The Forum aims to involve young Crimean Tatar leaders from around the world to form their views on the Crimean future.

Mejlis Chairman said the meeting of the youth forum should have been held in Crimea and stressed that the Crimean future is a future without occupation.

- We all understand why we are holding this forum here. We - the Mejlis, the older generation - do not consider the Crimean Tatar youth as a separate unit, a separate force. We consider the Crimean Tatar youth only as part of the Crimean Tatar national movement. The Crimean future is a future without occupation. The Crimean future is only in considering the future of the Crimean Tatar people and other nationalities living in Crimea, said Chubarov.

As a Forum Coordinator Gulnara Muratova reported earlier, the organizers received about 400 applications and selected close to 200 participants aged 18 -35 from different regions of Ukraine and the Crimean Tatar Diaspora from abroad.

The Forum "Crimean Future" is currently held in a hotel "Bratislava" and is to last until May31.
