Over the last year the military enlistment offices in Crimea have called in more than 150 Crimean Tatars to serve in the Armed Forces of Russia, "Head of the Army Recruitment Department of the Military Commissariat of the Republic of Crimea" Vadim Meshalkin told the journalists as cited by Kryminform.
"In 2015 we drafted into the military service more than 150 Crimean Tatars," said Meshalkin.
He went on saying they have created special conditions for Muslims at the recruitment stations. In particular, this applies to personal care.
Meshalkin also reported on the creation of special places for namaz.
In occupied city of Simferopol along with birth certificates the Military Commissariat handed three newborn boys the draft notices for 2032. The so-called Crimean authorities held a planned mobilization of children as part of the ceremony "Russian glorious sons," dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day in Russia.
