Crimean blockade scales up

A peaceful civil rally on blocking food supplies to Russia-annexed Crimean peninsula is moved 10 kilometers into the mainland Ukraine.

- As of Sept. 24 the rally is moved 10 km inland. Police keeps on providing law and protection of civilians, wrote Ilya Kiva, Deputy Chief of Research Affairs of Ukraine in the Kherson region, on his Facebook page.

Kiva’s report also describes the situation at the checkpoints actual for evening Sept. 23.

According to him, no more trucks have been left: - The situation at the checkpoint of the Russia- occupied territory of Crimea: 1) Chongar - 0 trucks, 2) Chaplynka - 0 trucks, 3) Kalanchak - 0 trucks.
