Chairman of Crimean Parliament Vladimir Konstantinov ordered the State Traffic Inspectorate (STI) and local government bodies “to settle the issue of road signs in Crimea”, proposing to remove Ukrainian and English signs.

“Englishmen are not wanted here, they do not deserve it. English inscriptions should be removed”- Konstantinov said.

Thus, Konstantinov believes, only signs written in Russian language should remain in Crimea.

To recall, Crimean constitution, adopted following region’s annexation by Russia, declared Ukrainian, Crimean Tatar and Russian languages  official ones in Crimea.
