(QHA) -

Crimean authorities have recognized the outcomes of the "referendums" held in Donetsk and Luhansk regions and declared their wish to develop relations with their new administrations, acting Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov announced.

“We recognize such kind of referendums. It is an opinion of people that must be implemented in legislative field. They are forming the management structure at the moment. After it is formed we will start negotiations with them”- he said.

To recall, Crimea has conducted all-Crimean referendum on status of Crimea March 16, and following the results, that were not recognized by Kyiv and the Western powers, secede from Ukraine and joint Russia.

Donetsk and Luhansk announced the creation of so-called “people’s republics” and held the similar referendums, declaring about 90 % of region’s population voted for region’s independence from Ukraine.

However, such referendums do not meet Ukrainian law and the results are illegitimate.
