Crimea already has proposals from investors to put over $1 billion into different sectors of the economy, Crimean Prime Minister Sergei Aksyonov said, KyivPost reports.

"We have proposals for investment in different sectors [agriculture, tourism, real estate]. There are rather a lot of proposals. We already have over one billion dollars worth of investment proposals. That is almost double the current budget of Crimea”- Aksionov told Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper in an interview published Wednesday.

“If we get just one core investor right now, there will be no problems with other investors"- he added.
