March 16, Warsaw hosted a conference devoted to the annexation of the Crimea, which was attended by the Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people People's Deputy of Ukraine Refat Chubarov, the historian Gulnara Bekirova reported on Facebook.

According to her, Chubarov spoke at the Crimean panel of the conference.

The conference was also attended by the author of the project "Krym. Realii" (Crimea. Realities) Oleksandr Yankovsky, Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ilmi Umerov and others.

Bekirova expressed her hope that next year the participants of the roundtable on the Crimea in Warsaw will gather in Bakhchysarai.


Earlier, Chubarov summarized the results of the meeting of members of the Mejlis with representatives of diplomatic missions.

During the meeting of the members of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people with representatives of diplomatic missions, the participants discussed the issues of joining efforts to protect the citizens of Ukraine in the occupied Crimea, amendment of Article 10 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the introduction of new sanctions against the Russian Federation, the Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov told at a briefing after the meeting.
