A sitting at the head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people, was established in Kyiv in order to straighten the ties between the Mejlis and Ukrainian government, Ukrainian MP’s and the heads of Crimean Tatar NGO’s located in Ukraine.

The sittings will be held every Friday, press-service of Mejlis’s head informed.

The first sitting, which took place Jan 16, was attended by Crimean Tatar leader, Commissioner of the President of Ukraine on the Affairs of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Jemilev, deputy head of Mejlis, Head of Department of Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers on Crimea Aslan Omer Kirimli, Ukrainian MP Georgy Logvinsky, Head of the Office for Activity of the Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for the Affairs of Crimean Tatars Arsen Zhumadilov, Coordinator of NGO “Community of Crimean Tatars” in Kyiv Refat Umerov and others.

Participants of the sitting discussed the results of activity of the organizations represented by them as well as cooperation and coordination in the sphere of draft decrees related to Crimea and Crimean Tatar people.

Head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov presided over the sitting.
