President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held the first meeting with Ismail Kahramanov, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in private. The meeting was attended by the leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev, Refat Chubarov, Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, wrote on Facebook.
- Now we will continue our meeting with all the members of the delegation in the Parliament, said Chubarov.
Earlier QHA reported on the Ukrainian delegation's visit to Turkey. During the meeting between Poroshenko and Ahmet Davutoglu in Davos, both parties declared an ambitious agenda in the relations between the two countries in 2016.
Also during the visit of the Turkish delegation to Ukraine, the Prime Minister of Turkey, Ahmet Davutoglu, met with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk to discuss the prospects of further cooperation.
In February, Turkey allocated Ukraine a loan of USD 50 million. The corresponding agreement was signed during Davutoglu’s visit to Ukraine. The Turkish Prime Minister also said that his country does not recognize Russia’s occupation of Crimea and promised to support Ukraine.
