“We did not expect that so many of our countrymen will be loyal to energy blockade. We did everything in our power to raise the Crimean topic and force the Ukrainian authorities to support the population of Crimea, while we have not returned it,” said Refat Chubarov at the press conference ‘De-occupation of Crimea: Task for the State and Society for 2016’, a QHA journalist reports.
Chubarov mentioned that the text of contracts for the supply of electricity to Crimea, signed on December 29, 2014, is not quite the same. One contract stipulates the Crimean Federal District as the end user, and the other - the Crimean peninsula.
“These officials (who signed the contract for Ukrainian side – Ed.) recognize Crimea as part of Russia,” said Chubarov. “They must be punished! Such contracts are signed to destroy Ukraine.”
The contract is valid until December 31, 2015. A full-fledged energy supplies to Crimea are to be resumed at 00:00 on January 1, 2016.
“If the Autonomous Republic of Crimea being a part of Ukraine will be stipulated as the end user in a new contract, then let them get their 220 megawatts. But if they do not show us the correct contract, it will mean that we are betrayed,” said Refat Chubarov.
