ANKARA (QHA) -

“After failing to forestall my today’s meeting with Emirali Ablayev, Mufti of Crimea, which took place in Ankara, the FSS officers are feverishly trying to come up with excuses for their superiors.... Hence all this nonsense about Chubarov trying to thwart Mufti’s meeting by force,” writes Chubarov on his Facebook page.

Earlier on, Kryminform website, the Crimean authorities’ propaganda mouthpiece, published an article claiming that Refat Chubarov, Chairman of the Mejlis of Crimean Tatars, assisted by Lenur Islyamov and Rustem Umerov, attempted to prevent Emirali Ablayev, Mufti of Crimea, from meeting the Turkish Minister of Religious Affairs in Ankara.

According to Refat Chubarov, his meeting with the Mufti was marked by mutual respect and lack of incidents.

“We got to share our opinions on the latest developments in Crimea. After the meeting was over, we descended to the hotel’s lobby where we were met by the members of our delegations and the FSS officers. Their faces were as white as a sheet ... They looked really pathetic and quite lost...” Chubarov wrote.

Just a reminder: Refat Chubarov, Chairman of the Mejlis of Crimean Tatars and Ukrainian MP, has met Haji Emirali Ablayev, Mufti of Crimea, in Ankara today. During the meeting, held behind closed doors, Refat Chubarov and Emirali Ablayev have discussed issues Crimean Tatars are facing in Crimea and ways of their resolution.

Emirali Ablayev, Mufti of Crimea, has arrived in Ankara for a meeting with senior members of the Dianet, the Spiritual Administration of Turkish Muslims (T.C. Dianet İşleri Başkanlığı), during which the possibility of building the Buyuk Juma-Jami Cathedral Mosque in Simferopol/Aqmescit has been discussed.
