KYIV (QHA) -

Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov, commenting on the verdict to Ukrainian political prisoner Volodymyr Balukh, said that every meeting with Putin is an indulgence for the murder of Crimean Tatars and Ukrainians, according to the statement on his Facebook page.

“Which leaders of the world states still do not understand that every meeting with Putin is an indulgence for the murder of Crimean Tatars and Ukrainians by Russian invaders?” He wrote.

Chubarov recalled that the occupiers had planted ammunition at Balukh and then sentenced him to 3.5 years in the colony of the settlement.

“Volodymyr Balukh, Ukrainian, citizen of Ukraine and patriot of the Crimea. They planted cartridges – sentenced him to 3.5 years of colony, provoked the "beating" of the head of the detention centre - sentenced him to 5 years in prison.”

QHA reported that Volodimir Balukh was sentenced to five years in prison. The "court" in the occupied Crimea sentenced the Ukrainian political prisoner to serving punishment in the colony of the general regime, and also imposed a fine of 10,000 rubles.

Earlier, the lawyer of the Ukrainian political scientist Olga Dinze told what the occupiers wanted to sentence Balukh to four years of colony. She noted that the fight with the participation of Volodymyr Balukh was provoked by the head of the detention center Valery Tkachenko. The incident was filmed on a surveillance camera and attached to the case.
