SIMFEROPOL (QHA) - Newly elected head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov said that all actions of Crimean Tatars are aimed at making them feel the owners at their native land, reports iPress.ua.
“When we say owners, we don’t speak about being dominant in the society. As owners we would like to agree on the rules with our neighbors, which would give opportunity to develop to all”, -notes Chubarov.
“Today the Crimean Tatars know that they are not owners at their native land. They do not feel their involvement in management, although they would like to participate, they do not have access to decision-making, to implementation of those decisions. Everything we do is for us to feel owners at our native land, but together with others who live on it”, emphasized head of Mejlis.
Chubarov noted that Crimean Tatars still see some results of their work; many things changed for over 20 years.
“The things are still not the way we wanted them to be, but there are results of our efforts. If we could back up our efforts with the efforts of the State, there could be many more changes,”- he said.
