In his address to the conference, Refat Chubarov said that occupation authorities in Crimea are trying to force Crimean Tatars out of Crimea.

“They are trying to achieve this by conducting mass searches and drafting Crimean Tatars into military service… The occupants’ top priority now is to draft into the army young Crimean Tatars,” said Chubarov.

In his earlier statements, Refat Chubarov said that Russia is trying to turn the banning of the Mejlis for its alleged extremism to its own advantage.
