Head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov has called on the European Union to save Crimean Tatars from prosecution.
Chubarov was speaking during a conference in European Parliament in Brussels, titled “Ukraine as Trial for European Solidarity”, Radio Liberty reports.
Chubarov pointed out that the main thing at the moment is safety of Crimea residents, urging to create a permanent mission of observers in the region.
To recall, Dec 8, Refat Chubarov and Ukraine’s Presidential Envoy on Crimean Tatar issues Mustafa Jemilev arrived in Brussels to participate in European Parliament’s work and other events in Brussels.
As Chubarov wrote in Facebook, the 30days program, prepared together with European People’s Party is hard-driving.
