Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov stated that the officers of the FSB of Russia are conducting searches in the occupied Crimea in Bilohirsk, according to the message on his Facebook page.

“In all the locations of the searches, considerable forces of special units equipped with small arms are concentrated, the perimeter of the search sites are cordoned off. The operation is led by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB).”

He noted that since the morning of April 26, the occupiers have conducted searches in the homes of a number of Crimean Tatar entrepreneurs and activists of the Crimean Tatar national movement.

“Since the early morning of April 26, 2018, total searches are conducted in Qarasuvbazar (now - Bilohirsk). The Russian occupiers broke into the homes of Crimean Tatar entrepreneurs, patrons, activists of the Crimean Tatar national movement Ali Bariev, Asan Bariev, Remzi Velilyaev, Resul Velilyaev, Ekrem Velilyaev, Zera Velilyaeva, as well as their adult children living separately.”

The Chairman of the Mejlis stressed that about 400 people gathered near the office of the firm "KrymOpt", where searches are also conducted.

“Currently, Crimean Tatars are arriving at other places of searches.”

QHA reported that in the occupied Crimea in Bilohirsk security forces are conducting searches in the house of the director of LLC "KrymOpt" Ali Bariev and in the network of shops "Guzel". All the shops of the network "Guzel" and the firm "CrimeaOpt" were cordoned off by the security officials.
