The control of the Crimean Tatars on the peninsula has got a full swing. The so-called law enforcement officers carry out illegal checks everywhere and under the most varied pretexts.
Alexandra Krylenkova, the field Coordinator of the Human Rights Center wrote on Facebook about another similar check.
- Today, representatives of the Prosecutor's Office again came to the Children's Center ‘Elif’ in Dzhankoy (a previous check was less than three weeks ago with the participation of SES, Emergency Situations Ministry and the Federal Security Service, as well as members of special units, who stood outside) and required to submit the documents within the "consideration of citizens’ appeals," wrote Alexandra Krylenkova.
This time the check was carried out without the security forces. According to the Field Coordinator of the Human Rights Center, only the Prosecutor's Office ‘paid a visit.’
The check ws held at the end of the day, when children left the center, but still it did not go without procedural violations. In particular, the inspectors came without warning, a request did not specify the dates on which the Center is to provide the documents, while they were required to be provided immediately.
On January, 27 in Dzhankoy the intelligence agency raided a small Crimean Tatar Children's Center ‘Elif’ and seized the documents up to the certificates on detergents.
