PARIS -

The authorities of the Netherlands should bring official apologies to Turkey, but this will not be enough and the countermeasures will follow, according to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu.

He noted that the position of the Dutch authorities is unacceptable.

"Such shameful actions were not encountered even during Nazism," Cavusoglu stressed.

According to him, the police of Netherlands blocked the way for the women, a Turkish Minister, not allowing her to enter the building of the Turkish Consulate General.

“The Consulate General is the territory of Turkey. Consul General of Turkey was not released from the building of the diplomatic mission. The dogs were set on the participants of the peaceful protest,” Cavusoglu said.

He promised that the reaction of Ankara would follow.

"We intend taking countermeasures until the Netherlands makes an apology," Cavusoglu said.

The Minister reminded that Ankara offered Amsterdam to organize visits of Turkish Ministers after the elections in this European country. According to him, this was answered: "We can not guarantee anything and we are against your visits to the Netherlands."

According to Cavusoglu, Europe is slipping into the abyss.

"If necessary, we will apply to international institutions, including the European Court of Human Rights," the Minister said.
