KIEV (QHA) -

The Prosecutor General Office will be demanding that Alexander Alexandrov and Yevgeny Yerofeyev, two Russian officers captured in an active war zone in eastern Ukraine, be given a life sentence, reports TASS citing Oksana Sokolovskaya, one of the captured officers’ lawyer.

Alexander Alexandrov and Yevgeny Yerofeyev are reported to have been taken to Kiev’s Goloseyevskiy Court. Captured in an active war zone in eastern Ukraine on May 16, 2015, the two were charged with terrorism and armed aggression against Ukraine on May 19, 2015.

Anatoly Matios, Chief Military Prosecutor, said earlier that the Prosecutor General Office would be pushing for an ultimate penalty prescribed in the Ukrainian Criminal Code for the two Russian officers.
