Candidate for the Chancellor of Germany from the "left" Sahra Wagenknecht supported the statements of the leader of German liberals Christian Lindner about the need to change course in relations with the Russian Federation. She made a corresponding statement in an interview with the publication Funke Mediengruppe.
According to Wagenknecht, for peace and security in Europe it is necessary to immediately return to the tradition of a "policy of détente" in relation to Russia.
"If the Free Democratic Party recollects these foreign policy traditions, this can only be welcomed," she said.
Earlier QHA reported that the Head of the Free Democratic Party of Germany Christian Lindner said that the conflict around the annexation of the Crimea should be "sealed" in order to make progress in resolving other issues with the Russian Federation.
According to Dmitry Tymchuk, the Head of the "Information Resistance" group in Ukraine, recent statements by German authorities are connected with the scandal that broke out around the delivery of Siemens gas turbines to the occupied Crimea.
