UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon is concerned about reports of continuing military clashes in Debaltseve, the UN press service has reported.

"The Secretary-General is seriously concerned over reports of continued instances of hostilities including in Debaltseve and reiterates his call for all parties to abide by the cease-fire without exception," reads the statement.

Despite the difficult military situation in a number of settlements in Donbas, the UN Secretary-General welcomed the implementation of the Minsk agreements and the ceasefire in the east of Ukraine.

As reported, according to the Minsk agreements the ceasefire in the area of anti-terrorist operation has begun at 00:00, February 15. Nevertheless, gunmen from "DPR" stated that they "reserve the right" to fire at Debaltseve because they consider it to be "their territory".
