On his Facebook page, Viktor Baloga, Ukrainian MP and influential politician, laid down his own vision of what had happened at the Dragobrat ski resort.
“I am not going to defend anyone, I was not there, so I do not know who is right and who is wrong. However, there are things that raise more questions than they answer. Why are the authorities less interested in a crash of a helicopter carrying illegal migrants in Slovakia than in a fist fight? Dozens of fist fights like this happen in villages on a daily basis”, Baloga writes.
Baloga also emphasized that a video of the July 11 massacre in Mukachevo was released on YouTube within a matter of hours, while a video of the events in Dragobrat has not been released yet. According to Baloga, the detained sustained grave bodily injuries.
“Judging by their looks, they sustained grave bodily injuries. They could not inflict them themselves. That was done by someone else and I wonder who they are and why they have not been arrested yet. I also wonder why the authorities are so eager to investigate a drunken brawl at a ski resort and take no interest in the shootout at a confectionary factory in Zhytomyr. There are a lot of unanswered questions about Dragobrat but one should draw one’s own conclusions. I, myself, am positive that there will be no fair investigation of the case. And I know that for a fact,” Baloga said.
