Arrest of Enver Mamutov, who was detained in Bakhchysarai on May 12, is extended until July 11 this year, lawyer Emile Kurbedinov posted on his Facebook page:

“Remand in custody to July 11, 2016, has been imposed on Enver Mamutov.”

Zair Smedlyaev also wrote that Zevri Abseitov, the father of four children, will remain in custody until July11 as well.

It was reported earlier that mass searches have been conducted in three houses and Caravanserai “Salachik” Crimean Tatar Cultural Center in Bakhchysarai on May12. Two buses full of armed people arrived at the site. As a result, Zevri Abseitov, Remzi Memetov, Rustem Abiltarov and Enver Mamutov have been arrested.

Reporting on the arbitrariness of the authorities in occupied Crimea, Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov posted on his Facebook page that he does not rule out the possibility of new searches and detentions, and called on the Crimean Tatars to treat each other more attentively and carefully.  

In addition, yesterday, May 12, security forces took Ilmi Umerov to a FSB branch in Simferopol, were he was handed a recognizance not to leave the place, followed by a search in his house.
