The border at straits separating Crimea from Ukraine will be equipped in a month an a half, acting Crimean head Sergey Aksyonov announced at briefing April 18.

“State border of Russian Federation in the north Crimeawill be equipped not later that six weeks. Prior to this Crimea's self-defense forces will guard the border with Ukraine”- Aksyonov noted.

To recall, Crimea declared independence from Ukraine and signed a treaty to rejoin Russia on March 18. The reunification treaty was ratified by the Russian president and parliament the same week.

It was included in Russian constituent entities list April 11.
