Russian federal budget will allocate $20 mln for program on supporting deported citizens of Crimea.

Crimean acting governor Sergey Aksyonov announced this during his meeting with Crimean students in Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University in Simferopol.

“As regards the support of deported citizens, $20 mln to be allocated for this program his year,- Aksyonov said.I guarantee, that we will allocate enough money to complete the constructions and to make these objects put into operation”- he added.

Earlier the head of the republican committee for nationalities and deported citizens Zaur Smirnov announced that Crimean Council of Ministers appealed to Russian Ministry of Finance to allocate 800 mln rubles ($22,2 mln) to settle issues of deported citizens.

The priority issues were construction and start-up of domestic buildings, creation of national schools along with water, electricity and gas supplies of the districts of compact residing of repatriates.

April 21 Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on the rehabilitation of ethnic minorities who suffered during the repression of the Stalin era.
