Conference “On Crimean Tatar situation in Crimea at the present stage”, that took place in Simferopol, September 6 was a beginning of new chapter in relations between the authorities and Crimean Tatars in Crimea.
Crimean Premier Sergey Aksyonov announced this at the briefing after the conference “On Crimean Tatar situation in Crimea at the present stage”, organized by Crimean Tatar NGOs and vice speaker of Crimean Parliament Remzi llyasov.
“Cooperation has begun long ago, since constructive Crimean Tatar representatives came to Crimean government. Crimean authorities provide maximum assistance to ensure those with professional skills were engaged in executive power, and settle Crimean Tatar issues… We are ready to except everyone to the posts. There is an understanding that Crimean Tatars should participate in elections, should take active position that will protect the interests of Crimea, and Crimean Tatars”- Aksyonov said.
The conference was arranged days before Crimean Parliament elections, which Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people decided to boycott.
