(QHA) - Additional forces will be involved in securing public order in connection with large-scale protests in Kyiv, the Interior Ministry of Ukraine press office reports, according to ForUm.
"As of 10 am Dec. 2, about a thousand internal troops’ officers are involved in securing public order in Kyiv. They are on duty near administrative buildings of state power," a statement says.
The press office notes that such an order was given by interior minister of Ukraine Vitaliy Zakharchenko.
"According to the order of the interior minister of Ukraine, additional forces will be involved in securing public order in connection with large-scale protests in Kyiv. Officers of territorial command departments of internal troops are send to Kyiv," the statement says.
