KYIV (QHA) -

According to the Facebook page of Refat Chubarov, Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada and former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea, putting the former deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea Enver Abduraimov and Safur Kadzhametov on "The list of former deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea suspected of high treason and being on the wanted list" makes no legal sense, which is why they ought to be excluded from it.

“Also on the ‘List of former deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea suspected of high treason and being on the wanted list’, which was drawn up by General Prosecutor Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, are Enver Abduraimov, member of the Party of Regions faction, and Safura Kadzhametova, member of the "Kurultai-Rukh" faction. However, the two were openly opposed to holding an extraordinary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea on February 27, 2014, and, therefore, did not participate in its work,” he said.

“In keeping with the motion passed by the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars, Enver Abduraimov and Safura Kadzhametova did not show up for all subsequent meetings of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of C (held after February 27, 2014) until March 15, 2014 (when the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed Resolution 891 - VII ‘On Early Dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea’), nor did they participate in all subsequent ‘sessions’ of the already illegitimate ‘State Council of the Crimea’.

It was reported earlier that General Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea  came up with a list of former members of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea suspected of high treason and put on the wanted list.

However, the list includes former members of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea whose political convictions prevented them from showing up for the session during which annexation of Crimea by Russia was endorsed.
