Germany provided financial assistance to residents of Donbas
UNICEF transferred special equipment to the East of Ukraine that will help to improve access to drinking water, as well as repair and upgrade water supply facilities.
8 universal backhoe loaders were presented to the municipal services of Donbas.
The special equipment is intended to repair the water supply system in the regions that suffered most during the military conflict.

With the excavators, representatives of municipal services are going to improve access to drinking water for 400 thousand people living in the East of Ukraine.
The necessary equipment was obtained due to the financial support of the government of the Federal Republic of Germany.
“Germany provided Ukraine with financial assistance of 1.5 million Euros, which is to be spent on improving water supply in the eastern regions,” the Deputy Head of the of the German Embassy mission in Ukraine Wolfgang Bindseil said.

The total cost of eight excavators is 465 thousand dollars.
Three pieces were delivered to the representative of the municipal enterprise "Water of Donbas", two more - to the Mariupol water utility.
Each utility service in the settlements of Marinka, Volnovaha and Krasnogorovka received one excavator.
