The main speakers of the event were fighters against corruption - People's Deputy of Ukraine Serhiy Leshchenko, known for his apartment history, and his partner - director of the anti-corruption Center Vitaly Shabunin.
They were joined by about 20 people with placards. The slogans spoke for themselves: "Dismiss impotent prosecutors," "Titushki-Ivanyushki", "We do not the EU loans, return Ivanyushchenko’s money."
The event was prepared quickly. On the pavement in front of the Presidential Administration by the Lutheran Street, around the line-built up patrol of the National Guard, the activists laid 11 boxes.
Next - the most "delicious" part of the banquet. Participants of the protest on placed 13 fresh chicken carcasses in the boxes.
According to Darina Kalenyuk, an activist from the Center of Vitaly Shabunin, General Prosecutor of Ukraine has opened proceedings against Yuri Ivanyushchenko after numerous statements from the Centre calling to investigate corruption offenses.
Judging by the package, the chickens were brought from the "Auchan" supermarket.
Activists claim that the case was closed due to inactivity of Yuri Stolyarchuk, the current Deputy to the Prosecutor General Lutsenko.
But the boxes were not enough and a few chickens were just laid on the pavement. They were doused with ketchup, which symbolized blood.
“Poroshenko and Ivanyushchenko deprived us 5.5 billion hryvnia by their actions. The difference between Poroshenko and Nasirov is that the first has actually stolen twice as much from us, using the scheme of Ivanyushchenko,” Shabunin shouted
The reporters were handed press releases of the protest, providing interesting figures. In the case of Yanukovich's henchman, the Head of the special investigations department Yuri Gorbatyuk reported that in 2016, 1.8 million of Swiss francs and $ 30
So protesters thanked the current guarantor Petro Poroshenko for the fact that three of his Attorney General allowed Yury Ivanyushchenko to avoid punishment. The protesters were mainly young people, students, lawyers and human rights activists
Another 575 thousand dollars were in Monaco. Total, the law enforcement agencies in Switzerland and Latvia arrested about $ 200 million from Ivanyushchenko’s companies.
The Supreme Court of Ukraine has closed all the criminal proceedings against the former MP from the Party of Regions, businessman Yuri Ivanyushchenko. It happened just before the assets of ex-President Viktor Yanukovych and his entourage were seized.
“Today I’ve learned that the Supreme Court without notice to the Prosecutor's Office decided to close all proceedings against Ivanyushchenko,” the Attorney General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko wrote on Facebook a week ago.
