A well-know Ukrainian volunteer and racing driver Oleksii Mochanov was assaulted on Druzhkivka-Konstiantynivka highway in the evening on September 9, 2015.
“Today, on Druzhkivka-Konstiantynivka highway, my friend Oleksii Mochanov, a famous volunteer, was attacked while staying in his car on the roadside. Five persons arrived by silver Opel and attacked Oleksii and his driver with clubs. The injured were taken to Kramatorsk hospital,” Viacheslav Abroskin, Head of the Interior Ministry in Donetsk region, posted on his Facebook. According to Abroskin, the Interception plan was announced in the region.
A little later, Oleh Dan, a volunteer and friend of Mochanov, has posted on his Facebook page that Oleksii is intact and the attackers have been identified.
It should be mentioned that Oleksii Mochanov has often visited the Donbas and talked to local people. He also took part in negotiations with the leadership of Russia-backed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) on the exchange of captives in August this year.
