Ukraine is sending two AN-32 aircrafts to Israel to bring under control and extinguish a large-scale forest fire near the city of Haifa.
The order to provide assistance to Israel was given by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine:
“I instructed the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov to sent two Ukrainian AN-32 aircrafts to fight fire around Haifa in Israel.”
In turn, the head of the Ukrainian Parliament Volodymyr Groisman and Interior Minister Arsen Avakov reported on immediate readiness to send the aircrafts to help Israeli counterparts in accordance with the decision of the President and the government:
“Ukraine will help to Israel, according to the decree of the President and the government's decision. Interior Ministry is to immediately send two AN-32 aircrafts of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine to assist in overcoming the fires raging in Israel,” Avakov wrote on his Facebook page.
The elimination of large-scale forest fires continues in the vicinity of Haifa in Israel, causing evacuation of more than 60 thousand people from dangerous areas.
