In his Facebook account, Oleg Slobodyan, Assistant to Head of Ukraine’s Border Guard Service, reported two more strayed Russian soldiers being held up in Ukraine.

“Ukrainian border guards held up two Russian nationals for illegally crossing the Ukrainian border at the checkpoint of Melovoye in the Lugansk region. The two were wearing uniforms with Russian military insignia,” he said

According to the soldiers, they were headed to the town of Armavyr (Russia) ‘for a test entitling them to wear a dark green beret”. According to the detained, they accidentally strayed into Ukraine and were then held up by Ukrainian border guards.

Investigation into the incident is currently underway.
