Two men arrested after brutal attack on Ukrainian journalist

(QHA) - A person, who may have been involved in an attack on a journalist and social activist, Tetiana Chornovil, have been detained, the other two attackers have been identified, Channel 5 reported, according to Interfax-Ukraine. According to the channel, the arrested person is the owner of the car. The police are searching for two others involved in the attack. As reported, journalist Chornovil was beaten in Kyiv region in the early hours of Wednesday. According to police, Chornovil was driving her car when she was cut off by a dark-colored car. Unidentified individuals pulled the journalist out of the car and beat her up, throwing her car into a ditch. Criminal proceedings were opened into the incident. Chornovil is a well-known journalist and social activist who published a series of investigative materials concerning incumbent high-ranking officials. She was brutally beaten outside Kyiv just after midnight on Dec. 25.
