The Turkish Foreign Ministry summoned Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov. He was told about the inadmissibility of cases like that when a Russian military demonstrated weapons in the Turkish territorial waters, the BBC reported.

The reason for the call "on the carpet" was the picture, captured by the Turkish media, where a sailor of the Russian landing ship "Caesar Kunikov" was aboard with a portable MANPADS "Igla".

Turkish Foreign Minister Mavleyut Cavusoglu called the incident a provocation.
