In the evening of April 20, in Paris in the Champs-Elysees area, the unknown opened fire, passing by a police car, which stopped at a red traffic light.

Two persons participated in the attack, one of them escaped, the second one was liquidated. According to eyewitnesses, criminals fired from Kalashnikov rifles.

Later, the terrorist group "Islamic State" (IS) claimed responsibility for the shooting in the center of Paris.

According to media reports, the IS identified the killed attacker as member of the terrorist groups, saying that it was a Belgian named Abu Yusif.

On the morning of April 21, local media reported that the man considered an accomplice in the attack on the police on the Champs Elysees surrendered to the Antwerp police. His personality and citizenship are being established.
