The Russian national, who told the crew about a bomb being on board, was one of the passengers of a flight headed from Dubai to Kiev, said an SSU spokesperson.
“Police identified the man, who was one of the plane’s passengers, straight after the plane touched down at Kiev airport. Now he is being questioned by SSU officers,” says an SSU report.
The incident took place aboard a FlyDubai flight.
It was reported earlier that the FlyDubai Boeing 737-800, coming from Dubai, crashed in the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don on the night of March 19, killing all 62 passengers, eight of whom were Ukrainians, on board. Poor weather conditions were cited as a possible cause of the crash.
