Six people died and two children were injured in a road accident on the Simferopol-Nikolayevka highway in Crimea as a car fell down into a hole formed by a landslide, on Sunday.
The car, carrying 2 Crimean Tatar families on their way home from the wedding party, fell into a hole which was almost eight meters deep and had eight meters in diameter.
Resident of Simferopol Ayder Eskenderov, his wife and their two children died. Sister of Eskenderov’s wife Asie Salimova and two of her four children also died.
Rescuers, psychologists and road traffic inspectors were working at the scene. An investigation has been launched.
Crimean Prime Minister Sergey Aksyonov has ordered creation of state commission to investigate the incident. Relatives of the victims of the accident will be given 400,000 rubles for every victim, according to the premier.
The funeral will take place Monday, Sept 29 in Simferopol.
