SIMFEROPOL / AQMESCIT (QHA) -

Lawyer Edem Semedlyaev on his Facebook page reported yet another series of searches in Crimean Tatars' homes in Simferopol on Darvin Street and 33, Hayri Emir-Zade Street.

9:20. The owner of the house, where the search was conducted, Asene Meseratova, told the details of what happened. She noted that the security forces came with the search at 6:30 in the morning (5:30 in Kyiv time). The security officials studied the phones and computer in the house, in particular the correspondence, asked for the documents, then drew some protocol and began the search. The woman was interrogated about her ex-husband and his brother.

8:55. The search in the Darvin street ended. The security officials noted that the woman who got in one of the vehicles was being taken to the investigative committee. The "Crimean solidarity" reported that most likely, the woman was the owner of the searched house.

8:19. Lawyer Emil Kurbedinov on his Facebook page commented on the searches and added that the occupiers were searching homes of the Crimean Tatars because "their children are fighting in the ATO."

“Some people were told that their children are fighting in ATO, others were told, that they joined the right sector...,” he wrote.

2 women with 5 young children were in the house on 33, Hayri Emir-Zade street. Two white GAZelle vehicles were driven into the courtyard and another car was standing on the street. Both floors of the house were searched. Neighbors and relatives cannot enter the yard. They are not allowed into the yard due to the fact that “investigative measures” are being taken.

During the search Asene Meseratova (owner of the house) and her cousin Ali Bulatov were inside.

The public association "Crimean solidarity" has posted a video in which a witness of the search, Asene Meseratova’s cousin, reports that the people who came with the search did not identify themselves, saying that they are conducting "investigative actions".

At the second address (Darvin street), Asene Meseratova's mother-in-law lives. "Investigative measures" are conducted there as well. Two white GAZelles are near the house.

Earlier, on November 23 in the annexed Crimea the homes of Crimean Tatar activists were searched in Simferopol and in the village of Blyzhne near Feodosia, during which Russian security officials detained Asan Chapukh, Bekir Degermendzhi, Kazim Ametov, Ruslan Trubach. During the detention on November 23, 83-year-old veteran of the Crimean Tatar national movement Vedzhie Kashka was killed.

Later, the "courts" arrested activists until January 15, 2018. The state of health of Bekir Degermendzhi and Asan Chapukh has deteriorated sharply in the pre-trial detention center.
