Last night, the Internet spread a satellite picture of the Crimean peninsula that shows a dark and almost imperceptible Russia-occupied territory against the backdrop of illuminated Ukraine and the Krasnodar Krai.

Crimean residents stock up with candles and gasoline since it’s still unclear for how long the power blockade will last.

Nov 21 the, the blowing up of the transmission power lines supplying Crimean with Ukrainian energy left the peninsula completely de-energized. Therefore, an emergency state has been declared in the temporarily occupied territory of the ARC (Autonomous Republic of Crimea).
