Russian troops in occupied Crimea are practicing capturing civilian and military facilities in an area matching Ukraine’s Kherson and Nikolayev regions.

According to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Chief Intelligence Department, Russian troops are training in an area near the Jankoy airfield.

“Using paragliders, Russian special forces troops, numbering 30, practiced parachuting from helicopters and capturing hostile facilities in poor visibility conditions and using landing beacons,” reports the Chief Intelligence Department.

It was reported earlier that Ukrainian border guards spotted 13 Russian helicopters flying near Ukraine-Crimea border in March.
