A strike group comprised of the Samum missile-carrying hover craft, Mirazh fast attack craft, and Ivanovets and R-60 missile boats have launched a missile strike against a target simulating hostile warships in the Taranhut cape in the Black Sea.
Naval aircrafts patrolling the exercise area have confirmed that three Mosquito and Malachite type cruise missiles launched by the warships have successfully hit the target.
During the exercise, a strike group comprised of SU-24, SU-30 and Be-12 types warplanes have launched missiles, dropped bombs and fired on surface targets in the area, says a statement issued by the press service of the Army South Headquarters.
A total of 20 warships, including 20warplanes and helicopters of the Black Sea Navy, have taken part in the exercise.
