Military aircraft, crashed on Turkey-Syria border, was shot down by the Turkish Air Force, reports Reuters. The Prime Minister instructed the Turkey’s Foreign Affairs Ministry to hold urgent talks with NATO. According to the BBC, Russian and Syrian aircrafts launch attacks against ISIL in that very area where the plane crashed. According to Ukrainian agency UNIAN, the downed plane was Russian.

The Turkish aircraft F16S shot down a foreign military aircraft that had violated Turkish airspace, Turkish military source told the Reuters news agency.

The plane crashed in the mountains on the border with Syria. According to the Turkish military officials, Turkish F-16s had shot down the plane after repeatedly warning its pilots they were violating Turkish airspace.

According to CNN Turk, the two pilots who were on board of the downed aircraft, managed to eject.
