Russian plane crashed in Egypt

Egyptian authorities reported on the crash of a plane bound for St. Petersburg.

A plane, en route from Sharm El Sheikh to St Petersburg, crashed on the Sinai Peninsula with 224 people being on board, reported the Egyptian authorities.

Egyptian Prime Minister called an emergency meeting to establish a crisis committee to tackle the situation. Russian Federal Air Transport Agency does not confirm the information about the crash of a passenger aircraft. According to their information, the liner dropped off the radar screen.
