An MP with State Duma Oleg Mikheev has already submitted a proposal to Elvira Nabiullina, Head of the Central Bank, reported RIA Novosti.

Thus, the MP plans "to preserve the territorial integrity of the Russian state."

- In order to emphasize once again the futility of the our neighbors’ claims to the Russian territory, I propose to feature a map of Sakhalin region on the 200-ruble banknote, highlighting the Kuril Islands, and a map of the Crimean peninsula on a 2000-ruble banknote, said the MP.

According to him, the issue of "Russia’s territorial integrity" is still on the agenda since the West is not inclined to recognize Crimea and the city of Sevastopol as a part of Russia.
